The fishtail chisels, also known as bachi style chisels, are shaped like a fish tail to clean corners of dovetails. The Fujihiro fishtail chisels are designed with just a little wider width at the cutting edge compared to a bench chisel. (Not an extreme fish tail looking blade like other brands)
Fujihiro brand chisels are hand forged by Chutaro Imai, a blacksmith who has been making chisels almost 50 years and is located in Sanjo City, Niigata prefecture.
