Fujihiro brand chisels are hand forged by Chutaro Imai, a blacksmith who has been making chisels almost 50 years and is located in Sanjo City, Niigata prefecture. Hollow on the back of the blade is single. A mortise chisel has a thick and strong blade to be able to cut out mortises and joints in joinery work.
