This Kotetsu line of knives are made by Sanetsu Cutlery of Seki City.
Blue Super steel is used on the core, laminated with soft stainless steel for protection. You won't need to oil this knife but will have to keep it clean and dry at all times, blue super is a high end carbon steel which can rust. Sanetsu's knives are very well built and comes thin, recommended for carbon steel lovers but doesn't want to oil their knives all the time.
Named after our legendary store cat who guarded our front door for 20+ years.
