3rd generation Mitsukawa, a government-certified traditional craftsman, hand forged and sharpened each blade for these single edged, rip cut saws. Mitsukawa selected a special grade of hard and flexible white steel for this blade. These saws were designed to be able to cut through hardwoods. They come in a handle made of wood wrapped with cane.
