Fujihiro brand chisels are hand forged by Chutaro Imai, a blacksmith who has been making chisels almost 50 years and is located in Sanjo City, Niigata prefecture. These bench chisels are forged with white steel laminated to soft iron. Hollow on the back of the blade is multiple. Any size between 12mm to 24mm are twin hollow, and any size above 30mm are triple hollow.
Mr. Imai can also special forge the sword steel chisels (mokume style) in any style of chisel. Contact Hida tool for quotes and estimate of time.
