A shiragaki (marking knfe) is a knife that is used with a square or a ruler to accurately mark lines on wood. Icchoshiragaki knife is made of yasuki white steel and are available in either right or left bevel. The marking knives are beveled on one side only.
Baishinshi is a brand produced by a blacksmithing family who has been forging carving knives and chisels for more than 250 years. Currently the 7th generation took over as "Baishinshi Kunimitsu", the family blacksmith name.
