A kensaki (triangle tip) knife is a smaIl marking knife used to draw fine lines. It is also used for carving wood. The blade is beveled on one side only.
The image shows hiratoh (flat blade) on the top, and the kensaki (trianlge tip) on the bottom for comparison.
Baishinshi is a brand produced by a blacksmithing family who has been forging carving knives and chisels for more than 250 years. Currently the 7th generation took over as "Baishinshi Kunimitsu", the family blacksmith name.
