Large, aggressive teeth paired with a back taper to prevent binding make this an ideal saw for framing work and quick cutting. In order to prevent the saw from binding up under the weight or pinch of a partially cut wood, the saw tapers from thick steel at the teeth to thinner steel on the top. The specifically set teeth allows the saw to cut in all directions (cross, rip and diagonal cut).
